Kathleen Ann Miner (Kathie)

April 28, 1947 – April 2, 2026

Kathleen Ann Miner - known to nearly everyone as Kathie - passed away on April 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, hard work, and home-cooked meals that will be felt for generations.

Born on April 28, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York, Kathie grew up in East Paterson, New Jersey, where her quick wit, fierce spirit, and generous heart were evident from an early age. In 1981, she moved her family from Brigantine, NJ to Greeley, Colorado, where she would build the life she was meant to live.

Kathie launched a career in real estate that spanned over 45 years, during which she helped thousands of families find their homes. She was a tough negotiator who fought fiercely for her clients - a reflection of her deep belief in hard work and her steadfast faith that God would always provide, even in the most difficult of times.

It was at home, surrounded by family, where Kathie truly came alive. She was a gifted cook who lovingly passed down treasured family recipes to her children, and there was no better place to be than around her table. She enjoyed traveling to Vegas, going to concerts and shopping with her daughters. She delighted in card games, crafting, and making jewelry, and was an expert seamstress whose creativity and attention to detail touched everything she made.

Above all, Kathie was Nana - and she wore that title with more pride than any other.

She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Ryan Jones (Aubrey), Shannon Sharrah (Jim), Kristy Figg (Rob), Robbie Miner (Brook), and Kerrie Chacon (Matt); her beloved brother, Ken Byrnes (Elaine); her ten grandchildren: Tim, Austin, Carter, Colton, Ava, Lexie, Maverick, Madison, Elyse, Kiyah and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Winifred Byrnes, her sister Carol DeMeritt and Brother in-law Andy DeMeritt.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church on April 16th, at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Catholic Charities in Kathie's memory.

She will be deeply missed -but is smiling down on us all.
