Marjorie Frank

Marge Frank, 94, of Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Greeley, Colorado. She was born to John and Emma (Feit) Sitzman on March 14, 1932.

While attending Johnstown High School, Marge was one of the few girls on the track team. After graduation, she worked for the local phone company and was involved in the Eastern Star in Johnstown.

Marge married Bill Frank, the love of her life, on June 3, 1951. The two farmed and ranched in Weld County throughout their married lives. They established their family dairy in Johnstown and milked cows until 1967 when they sold the dairy and moved to Hudson. They established Small Acres Angus, raising reputation registered cattle and farming. They retired from ranching in 2002.

They were enthusiastic and generous supporters of the Weld County 4-H program. In 1984, she and Bill founded the Bucket Calf Show, which continues to this day. She could be found at Bill's side helping with the various youth and livestock boards that he served on-Colorado Angus Association, Weld County Fair Board, Colorado Association of Fairs and Shows (CAFS) - just to name a few.

Marge loved to cook and bake, skillfully keeping her family's favorite traditional German dishes and delicacies a precious part of her family's holiday meals. After retirement, she and Bill enjoyed traveling stateside and abroad. Since Bill's passing, she enjoyed keeping busy watching her great-granddaughter, Mesa, show cattle, goats, and run track.

She is survived by son Kenneth (Mary Lou) of Gainesville, GA; daughter Dianne (Chester) Norgren of Hudson; granddaughters Kari Lou (Chris) Frank, of Richmond, VA; Tami (Luke) Arnold of Hudson; Kendra (Andrew) Frank of San Francisco, CA; and two great-granddaughters Leah Frank and Mesa Arnold. She is also survived by her favorite dog, Finley.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 21 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th St., Greeley. A reception will immediately follow the graveside service at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634, hosted by Magic Spurs 4-H Club.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Weld County 4-H Foundation in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
