Mary Ruth Reynolds, aged 88, of Watkins Colorado, peacefully passed away on February 9, 2026.
Mary was born on February 26th, 1937 in Sandy Hook, Elliot County, Kentucky to Mrs. Evelyn Middleton and Mr. James Middleton. Mary led a life rooted in traditional values of faith, family and community.
Mary was married to her husband William Burt Reynolds for 68 years and together raised a beautiful family with their three boys, David, Miles and Wayne. Burt passed away on December 21st, 2023, and Mary spent the rest of her days surrounded by her family. Mary is survived by her three boys and their wives, David and Sue, Miles and Sandy and Wayne and Cathy. Mary had seven grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Travis, Joe, Zackary, Quintin, Megan and is preceded in death by her eldest grandson Curtis. Mary also enjoyed her seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Mary is survived by one sister Mollie Sadler and is preceded in death by her four sisters, four brothers and one half-sister and half-brother.
Mary passed along many family traditions, meals and the importance of keeping family together. Celebrating holidays, anniversaries and celebrations with one another, Mary was always beaming when her family was around.
Mary was a woman of God and never far from her Bible. Mary faithfully attended the Bennett Baptist Church and enjoyed singing, church fellowship, and loved when family joined her at church. The fellowship and teachings of the church community provided Mary with strength and guidance on her life journey.
In life Mary left school to work on her family’s farm and in adulthood enjoyed being a homemaker, wife and mother. Mary was known for being a neighborhood doctor, and her home being the place for neighbors and friends to gather. Mary loved crafts and owned her own crafts business where she enjoyed sharing her crafts with others. Mary loved beautiful scenery and often was found taking pictures of beautiful sights while camping, on road trips or from her home in the plains.
During Mary’s precious last months, Mary was taken care of by Advanced Hospice.
