We wish to inform those who knew and loved our sister, Neida Gross, that she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 25, 2026, in Westminster, CO, following a brief illness.
She was a graduate of Shady Spring High School, Concord College, and the University of Colorado. While she was a resident of Westminster, Colorado, her commitment to shaping and caring for young minds began with the Raleigh County Board of Education, WV, and then retiring from the Boulder Valley School District, CO. Her love of the Lord was evident in the countless lives she blessed. She dearly loved her Westminster Calvary Church family. Neida was always up for leading others on adventures as a rafting guide and had a passion for volleyball, playing, coaching, and refereeing. She was an avid sports fan supporting her Rockies and Broncos through thick and thin while also equally cheering on her Mountaineers and Buffalos unless they played each other on a given Saturday. Neida devoted her retirement years to lovingly caring for our parents, Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Gross of Daniels, WV, until their passing.
She will be sadly missed by her sisters; Ellen Moye (Skip) of Dayton, OH; Milissa Meador (Eddie) of Monroe, NC; Milinda Morrison (David) of Beaver, WV; her nieces, nephews, and their respective families; Mike Moye, Marc Moye, Amanda (Moye) Whitsel, Jason Meador, Devin Morrison, Erika (Morrison) Blankenship, and Demi (Morrison) Martin.
In lieu of floral arrangements and due to her love for the Lord, we ask that any donations in her name be made to The Joshua Fund (joshuafund.com) or Samaritan’s Purse (samaritanspurse.org).
A celebration of life will occur at Westminster Calvary on May 1, 2026 at 6:00PM, and a memorial service with interment will occur at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 1:00PM.
Please consider a donation as requested by the family.
