Paul Fabrizius Obituary

Paul Rudolf Fabrizius, 91, of Denver, CO, passed away on February 13, 2026. Pail was born in Wakeeney, KS, on June 9, 1934. He moved to Denver with his family after graduating from high school. He enlisted in the military on July 27, 1953. While stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas, he met the woman that would become his wife.

Paul and Darlyne Ruth Saville were married in Manhattan, KS, on August 21, 1955. They moved to Denver. They had two daughters, Paula Sue and Carrie Ann. Paul worked for Safeway stores for 45 years. He retired in 1997.

Paul was very social. He loved people. He and Darlyne had two timeshares in Vail where they formed some life long friendships. Shortly after retirement they moved to a condo in Heather Gardens. More socializing. More people.

Eventually, Paul moved to an apartment at an independent senior living facility. He appointed himself the unofficial director of social activities. He loved putting on a Christmas open house for everyone in the building with the help of his party planning assistant and daughter, Paula.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Darlyne. He is survived by his daughters, Paula (Henry) Williams and Carrie (Dennis) Lewis; his grandson, Paul (Adrienne) Williams, and his great-grandchildren, Cayden and Aubree Jackson; and one brother, Richard Tabiszewski of Broken Arrow, OK, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 25th at 10:00 am at Fairmount Mortuary located at 430 S. Quebec St., Denver, CO 80247. A reception from 11:00–1:00 will follow the service.

Paul and Darlyne's ashes will be interred at Ft. Logan at a later time.
