Robert "Bobby" Barela, 58, of Denver, Colorado passed away on December 10, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Marie Barela; sister, Betty Ann; brother, Shawn Barela; brother-in-law, Bill Carson and mother-in-law, Marion Nelson.
Survived by his loving partner of 34 years, James "Jim" Nelson; siblings, Linda Barela (Bob Maes), Vivian Barela, Faye Arellano (LeRoy), Freddie Barela, Natalie Barela, Randy Barela (Margie), Vince Barela, Richie Barela and Kenny Chavez (Leann); nieces and nephews, DeAnna (Kimmie), Chris, Andres, Melissa (Mark), Nicole (Craig), Candace (Nate), Denessa (Willy), Andrea, Jeremy, Eric, Naomi (Luis), Matthew, Nadia (Kenneth), and Kenny, Jr; 33 loving great-nieces and great-nephews; 7 loving great-great-great-nieces and great-great-great-nephews; goddaughter, Stefanie Puebla (Jesus); sister-in-law, Connie May (Jamey); nieces and nephew in-laws, Amy (Nick), Ryan (Kayla), and Chelsie (Tom); several great-nieces and great-nephews in-laws; many loving friends and his beloved dog, Morty.
Robert loved to dance and was loved by so many family and friends. He and his partner, Jim, traveled to many places; just having been to Aruba weeks before he passed. We hope he's dancing and petting the dogs who went before him. We love you, Bobby.
Celebration of Life to be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 11am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado 80229.
