Steven Belisle Obituary

Steven Richard Belisle (Steve) was born on May 15, 1986, in Wheat Ridge, CO. He passed away on February 7, 2026 at his home in Castle Rock, CO. Steve is survived by his loving parents, Debbie and Mark Mascis of Aurora, CO and Tony and Patty Belisle of Castle Rock, CO. He is also survived by his Grandmother, Margaret Belisle of Arvada, CO; his aunts and uncles: Sheri and Manual Guzman, Teri Gilbreath and Melissa Hensley, Doug and Sharon Jones, Sandy and Bill Myrick, Becky and Duane Risse, Annette and Craig Ward, and Cindy Woods along with numerous first and second cousins who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Jan Jones, Leroy Belisle; step grandparents Ron and Lorraine Mascis, Ellie Martin, Stanley and Mary Krasovec.

Steve grew up in Arvada, Centennial and Highlands Ranch CO. He graduated in 2004 from Thunder Ridge High School of Highlands Ranch. He furthered his education by studying business and aviation at University of Northern Colorado and Aims Community College in Greeley, CO, and computer science at Regis University in Denver, CO.

Steve was a patriot at heart and entered the US Marine Corps. He served from 2011-2016 as a Helicopter Maintenance Plane Captain, Collateral Duty Inspector and then Quality Assurance Representative on the AH-1W and UH-1Y. While in the Marines, he was stationed in San Diego, CA and Oahu, HI with deployments to Japan, Philippines and Australia. Upon leaving the Marines as a Corporal, Steve joined the Air Force Reserves at Buckley Air Force Base and served from 2016-2019 as a satellite systems operator for the 8th Space Warning Squadron. It was here that Steve learned the satellite industry, which led to his current position working for Northrop Grumman in satellite operations at Buckley Air Force Base for a Missile Defense Program (2020-present). His time in the military earned him the privilege and proved he had the steady temperament to handle a high security, high stress role. Steve was always humble about the important work he did in the military and his current job, quietly bearing the pressure of a role that helped keep our nation safe. Though he couldn't share many details, family members would gather around him at family get-togethers, eager to hear whatever perspective he could offer. He held a position few were trusted to perform - one he earned through dedication and carried with quiet pride and honor.

Growing up and throughout adulthood, Steve loved sports! He was an avid and loyal follower of the Denver professional teams (Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies and Avalanche). Sports radio was his escape while commuting to work. He also enjoyed playing sports - baseball, football, basketball, rugby, snowboarding and golf. He liked country music and enjoyed playing around on the piano and picking away on a guitar in his spare time. More recently, Steve enjoyed cooking and was becoming quite a chef. He watched and learned to make his favorite recipes from Mark, Patty and Margaret.

Although he was known to be a quiet observer and a great listener, he had a snappy and somewhat restrained sense of humor. Steve was kind and gentle yet knew when to stand his ground. He had a big heart, and lived a life defined by high morals and principles.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2pm, at Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church (PEPC) 9030 Miller Rd., Parker, CO 80138. Dress is casual, or something representing your favorite Denver pro sports team.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve's honor can be made to Bodhi Battalion, or Semper Fi & America's Fund.

Steve will be dearly missed by his family, cousins, and friends from all walks of life. We encourage you to leave your comments about Steve here, so we all can enjoy how he touched your lives.
