Susan Anderson Obituary

Ms. Susan Anderson, 67, peacefully passed away on April 17, 2026 at the home of her sister and brother-in-law in Castle Rock, CO.

She was born in Englewood, CO and attended many schools in the Denver area including a Cosmetology Institute as well as completing EMT training.

Susan founded the Homeless Assistance League of Pueblo as well as the Peanut Butter and Jelly Angels Mission Group of Pueblo, and was instrumental in raising funds and locating volunteers for both groups. At this time, with the generous hearts of volunteers, both groups are able to successfully continue. Susan would often visit homeless individuals on her own, offering food, refreshments and a caring person to talk to. She also enjoyed caring for her many pets, including miniature horses and dogs and referred to her dogs as her "babies." She also liked taking care of stray cats around her house as well as flower gardening. Most of the flowers she grew were reminders of her parents that had previously passed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Arlo and Phyllis Anderson.

Survivors include 2 sisters: Shirley Turner of Wisconsin and Donna Plagman of Colorado, her brother-in-law, Larry Plagman of Colorado as well as nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the upcoming months.
