Ysidoro “Junior” Gutierrez left this earth surrounded by family on January 23, 2026. Ysidoro “Jr.” was born in Greeley, Colorado on February 15, 1960 to Ysidoro and Estella Gutierrez. Junior grew up in Fort Collins with his five siblings in the Buckingham neighborhood. He attended Laurel Elementary, Lesher Middle School and Fort Collins High School and enlisted in the Army where he served for two years.
Following his years of service in the military, Jr. married and moved to the Denver area first settling in Commerce City and then raising his family in the Northside of Denver, Colorado. His first child, Ysidoro “Izzy” was welcomed in 1980, followed by his second child, Evangelina in 1982 and the third child, Jaye in 1991.
Jr. spent much of his working life as a truck driver, where he was known for his friendly nature and for building lasting relationships with both co-workers and customers. He was a loyal and dependable worker never afraid of working hard and always willing to show up when needed.
Throughout his years on this earth as a young person and adult Jr. was known for his kindness, always willing to help others out with his generosity. He had a great affection for cars and always had a classic car he was working on to fix up. He loved spending time in Black Hawk where he had a hard time passing up a good buffet and had great advice for picking a good slot machine.
Junior enjoyed being around his friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Estella Gutierrez, siblings Rebecca Gutierrez, Sylvia Gutierrez, Steven Gutierrez, Elizabeth Gresham and Julian Gutierrez. Also his children, Evangelina Bullen, Ysidoro “Izzy” Gutierrez and Jaye Gutierrez, his grandchildren Tomas, Dominic, Elina, Alia, Jaslin, Desarae, Thalia, Kellen, Ysidoro and Evalyn and great granddaughter Kiah.
Services will be held on Friday February 27, 2026, please wear Bronco attire to honor Jr. and his love for the Denver Broncos.
