With heavy hearts, we share the sudden and tragic passing of Allie Sue Kind, age 34, on Monday, June 2, 2025, in Littleton, Colorado.
Born a vibrant 10-pound baby on September 27, 1990, in Pontiac, Michigan, Allie brought boundless energy and light into the world. She was lovingly named after a movie character her parents admired, a name that would become synonymous with warmth, humor, and fierce loyalty.
Allie spent her early childhood in Highland, Michigan, before moving to Okemos, where she graduated from high school. She went on to earn two degrees with honors from Michigan State University, including one in German, which she deepened through study abroad experiences in Germany and London. Her adventurous spirit and love of learning carried her far beyond the classroom.
In search of mountains, sunshine, and new experiences, Allie moved to Denver, Colorado, where she fully embraced the outdoor lifestyle. She was an avid hiker, paddleboarder, snowsports enthusiast, and dog mom to her beloved pups, Watson and Taos. She loved murder mysteries, true crime, llamas, and exploring new breweries. She expressed her creativity through cooking and cultivating a home filled with plants, candles, and books.
Allie was a natural leader and a people person through and through. Since 2015, she worked at Fidelity Investments, where she served as an inspiring people leader, coach, and culture curator. She was deeply involved in mentoring, teaching, and cross-functional projects — always lifting others, building community, and helping people become their best selves.
Allie had an incredible way of making people feel seen and heard. She was approachable, quick to laugh, and generous with her time — whether simply showing up when someone needed a friend or volunteering for numerous causes.
She is survived by her loving parents, Barry Kind (Noelle) and Katherine Lancour (Steve); her siblings Ian Zajac, Miranda Johnson (Frank), Joey Lancour, and Erin Lancour; and her cherished grandmothers, Patricia Edwards, Vicki Quinn and Josephine Lancour. She is also deeply mourned by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Allie was preceded in death by her grandparents Ron and Sue Kind, and Harrie Quinn.
From childhood rollerblading adventures to climbing mountains and spreading joy wherever she went, Allie lived with curiosity, humor, and love. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her light will continue to shine through every life she touched.
