Andrew Delich Obituary

Andrew Christopher Delich passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Andy was 58 years old.

Andy was born on September 27, 1967, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Matthew and Susan (Kishpaugh) Delich. In 1975, he moved with his family to Loveland, Colorado, where he grew up and attended St. John the Evangelist Grade School, Conrad Ball Junior High School, and Loveland High School.

After high school, Andy followed his independent spirit and moved to a cabin in Buckhorn Canyon, where he lived for 15 years and embraced mountain life. During that time, he worked as a sous chef at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park. Cooking was one of his talents, and he continued working as a chef at several restaurants before later changing careers. For the past 18 years, Andy worked as a security guard in Fort Collins, where he was known as someone dependable and dedicated.

Andy had a deep love for music and was a talented musician who played the bass guitar and mandolin. Along the side of his dearest friend, Tom Woolrich, he was a proud member of the bands "The Buckvillans," "Deathbrand", and "Children of the Grave" (a Black Sabbath tribute band) sharing his love of music with friends and audiences alike. He was also a devoted Star Trek fan and had a lifelong love of heavy metal music. Andy enjoyed playing war games and building models, often spending that time with his nephew Gage, creating memories that will be treasured.

On June 6, 2005, Andy married the love of his life, Tessa Torrence. Together they built a life filled with love and family.

Andy is survived by his wife, Tessa; his daughters, Anika and Cortnee (JC) Lemmons; and his beloved granddaughters, Kaycee and Kennadee, who brought him great joy. He is also survived by his parents, Sue and Matt Delich; and his siblings, Wendy (Steven) Kennedy, Michael Delich, Joseph (Jen) Delich, Steven (Carla) Delich, and Gregory (Chelsey) Delich. Andy will also be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and the many friends whose lives he touched.

Andy will be remembered for his love of music, his unique personality, his loyalty to those he cared about, and the many memories he created with the people he loved. Though Andy's time with us was far too short, the love, laughter, and music he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Memorial Mass, Saturday, March 14, 2026, 10:00 a.m., St. John the Evangelist Catholic School gymnasium.
