Carmen Anaya Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carmen Louise Anaya, who left this world peacefully in her home in Thornton, Colorado, on May 21, 2025, at the age of 67.
Carmen was born on August 5, 1957, daughter to Louis and Sylvia Anaya. Throughout her life, she was a vibrant and spirited woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. A true social butterfly, Carmen was known for her kind and giving heart, always ready to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need. Her fiery spirit and bold opinions only added to her charm and were part of what made her so deeply loved by many.
She wore many hats throughout her life - from working at Keebler to pursuing cosmetology and ultimately embracing the role of homemaker. But her greatest joy came from being surrounded by family and friends. Carmen loved dancing, laughing, and spending time with her cherished circle. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved, whether through her warm hugs, spontaneous wet kisses, or the playful nicknames she gave to those closest to her.
Carmen's legacy lives on through her sister, Eva Valdez, beloved children: Mandy Martinez (Michael Mercure), Dominic Anaya (Feliz Sanchez Garcia), and Carlo Anaya (Nadene Anaya); her treasured grandchildren: Sylvia (Eli), Alyssa (Angel), Izaihia, Domonique, Amara, Tyler, Marlie, and Aria; and her precious great-grandchildren: Nacio, Xaniah, Amira, and Nyjah. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Louis and Sylvia Anaya and her siblings, Ramona Arroyo and Sonny Anaya.
Her love, laughter, and lively spirit will be missed dearly, but never forgotten. She will be remembered in every family gathering, every dance shared among friends, and in the warmth of every hug.
