Elizabeth passed peacefully in her sleep on January 12th at the age of 87. Liz, as she was known, was born October 7, 1938 in Bates, Arkansas to Ted and Lucretia Kerns. She spent 45 years living in the metro Denver community where she was widely known for her deep devotion and showing of English bulldogs.
She is predeceased by her parents, four brothers, one sister, two grandchildren, and several English bulldogs. She is survived by her baby sister, Margaret Fewell of Alabama, her children Diana Wallis of Alabama, Patrick (Valerie) Wallis, and Beverly Wallis, all of Colorado as well as her grandchildren: Sara Pippitt, Dewayne Schmelling, Matthew Wallis, Sean Wallis, Alison Wallis, and Olivia DeSimone. She also had 15 beautiful great-grandchildren.
Dear Mom, there are no tears past the gates of heaven.
At Elizabeth’s request, no services will be held and her ashes will be interred in Alabama.
