Frederick Jurado, Jr., a 74-year-old resident of Denver, Colorado, passed away at home on August 27, 2025.
Born on January 22, 1951, he was the eldest of six children born to Frederick Jurado Sr. and Margie (Abeyta) Jurado. Fred is survived by his sons, Jeremy (Davina) and Eric (Tammy); as well as his grandchildren, Angelina, Brandon, Shanelle, Ashli, Christina, Valerie, Christopher, and Jake; and great grandchildren, Payson, Angel, Alexander, Jameson, Miliana, and Emiliana; his mother, Margie Jurado; his siblings, Tony, Art, David (Diane), Rob (Gina), and Rosanna (Tony). He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Jurado Sr., and great-grandchildren Janelle and Angelo.
Fred was a man of many interests, including art, photography, guitar, running, skiing, martial arts, fishing, horses, and playing polo. He followed in his father’s footsteps with regard to his creativity, and had exhibited his art at the CHAC Gallery and Art Contained Del Sol. Additionally, he enjoyed teaching, not only to his family and friends, but also volunteering to teach skiing for the National Sports Center for The Disabled at Winter Park for 15 years. He had also taught silk screening through CHAC and was preparing to teach another session.
In honor of Fred’s life, a memorial mass will be held on September 30 at 11 am at All Saints Church, 2559 S. Federal. This will be followed by a Celebration Of Life at VFW Post 9644, 2680 W Hampden Avenue, Sheridan, CO 80110. Fred cherished spending time with his family and friends and living life to the fullest. His spirit will forever be etched in the hearts of those whose lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by his friends and family
