Jeremy Dale Conley, born November 30, 1974, in
Westminster, Colorado, to Debra and Gregory Conley, checked out-probably because his time here on earth had come to an end, as the angels had called him home for now. He passed away in
Fort Lupton, Colorado, leaving behind a legacy of grease-stained hands, loud engines, and a family that will forever miss his stubbornness (even when they didn't admit it at the time).
Raised in Thornton, Jeremy grew up doing what he did best-figuring out how things worked, then immediately taking them apart (and usually putting them back together better). He graduated from Anaconda Job Corps in 1992 and went on to work for many companies over the years, proving he could pretty much do anything. Most recently, he worked at Zimmerman Metals before becoming a supervisor at Timken Wazee Cranes-because of course he ended up in charge; telling people what to do came naturally.
Jeremy was married to Brenda Slusher, and together they built a life filled with love, chaos, and probably a few projects that were "almost done." He proudly helped raise his stepchildren, Tish and Jojo, like his very own, and was a constant presence in the lives of his grandchildren, Milo and Zaiden.
If you knew Jeremy, you knew he loved three things: his family, his tools, and going way too fast in anything with an engine. He had a special place in his heart for his Harley-Davidson, often found cruising through the mountains-because apparently regular speed limits were just polite suggestions.
Whether it was fixing cars, improving something that didn't necessarily need improving, or being the go-to backyard mechanic, Jeremy was always the guy who could figure it out (and probably tell you how you should've done it in the first place).
Family was everything to Jeremy. He was the backbone-the one who made sure everyone was taken care of, whether they asked for help or not. He is survived by his parents, Gregory and Debra Conley; his sister, Shawna Conley; his wife, Brenda Slusher; his stepchildren, Tish and Jojo; his grandsons, Milo and Zaiden; his nieces ShanTae, Mikayla, and Danaka; his nephews Alec, Zachery, Nathan, and Tristan; his great-nephews James, Austin, and Aron Jr.; his great-nieces McKinzie, LenayaRae, Lachlann, Sylviana, and Emberly; along with many other family members and friends who were lucky enough to know him.
Jeremy lived life his way-loud, fast, and always hands-on. While his absence leaves a hole that can't be filled, there's comfort in knowing that somewhere, he's still fixing things... probably with better tools and no one interrupting him.
He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and occasionally blamed when something breaks -because that just feels right.
