Kelly Anne Garber Obituary

Kelly Anne Regina Garber

Kelly Anne Regina Garber (née La Porte), aged 63, from Lakewood, CO, passed away on September 2, 2025.

Born on July 6, 1962, in Chicago, IL, Kelly was the cherished daughter of Constance and Theodore. A graduate of Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn, IL, she cared for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, bringing compassion and dignity to older adults and patients with dementia.

Her love for music, particularly Steve Perry and Journey, fueled Kelly's spirit and resilience. Through the ups and downs, she believed wholeheartedly in the lyrics, finding hope and courage in every note.

Family was Kelly's greatest joy. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, finding immense pride in her daughter, son-in-law, grandson, and the anticipated arrival of her granddaughter. Her unwavering faith guided her, providing strength and comfort.

Kelly leaves behind a legacy of love with her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Jason Osaki, and her grandson, August. Her spirit lives on through her siblings, Gerald La Porte, Mary La Porte Witt (Richard), and Dominice La Porte (Raymond Einig), her dearest friend Beverly Wilson, stepmother Susan La Porte, Aunt Patricia Heneghan, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is reunited in peace with her parents, Constance Marie La Porte (née Kelly) and Theodore Patrick La Porte, and her brothers, Theodore Francis and Barry.

The family invites you to make a donation to the American Cancer Society to honor Kelly. A Celebration of Life is planned for a future date.
