Larry Bailey Obituary

Larry Glenn Bailey, of Frederick, CO, passed away at his home on Friday, June 6, 2025. He was 80 years old. Larry was born January 15, 1945 in Denver, Colorado to Glenn and Lenore Bailey. 

Larry joined the United States Army and served one tour in Vietnam. He was married to his wife for 51 years and they raised two sons. Larry worked in the restaurant business, sales, and retired in construction. He truly lived life through simple pleasures. He loved watching Western movies, cheering on the Broncos and piddling around the house and yard. He always had some type of project he was working on.

Larry had a great sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and visiting with his family and friends. Some of his favorite times were all the trips to Las Vegas and Wendover with dear friends. His greatest joy in life was his family. He absolutely adored his grandchildren. He loved spending time with them and hearing all about their accomplishments. They were truly the light of his life. Larry leaves us with many beautiful memories to cherish. We take comfort in knowing that he is at peace and not suffering any longer. He can finally breathe!

Larry is survived by his wife, Cindy Bailey and his sons, Brandon Bailey (Robbin) and Brent Bailey; sister, Judy Abbott; grandchildren, Kyle Bailey (Erin) and Braelyn Bailey; step-grandchildren, Tyler Shimp (Lauren), Morgan Ledford (Kaleb) and Hayden Chadwick; step-great grandchildren, Riley, Reagan and Nolan. 

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Elton Bailey.

A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will take place 12:30pm, Monday, July 7 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Avenue, Denver. Please gather at Staging  Area B no later than 12:15pm. 

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Todd Creek Golf Club, 8455 Heritage Drive, Thornton, CO 80602.
