Mary Helen (Cruz) Martinez, 73, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2026.

She was born on June 27, 1953, in Greeley, Colorado, to Isabel and Carmen (Duran) Cruz. Mary Helen was a lifelong member of the Greeley community, where she attended local schools and later dedicated over 16 years of service to Portions Foods.

Above all, Mary Helen was a devoted mother whose greatest joy in life was caring for her sons, Andy and Mario. She treasured time spent with her family, especially gathering together to share meals she lovingly prepared. She also enjoyed listening to her favorite oldies, which brought her comfort and happiness throughout the years.

Mary Helen is survived by her sons, Mario and Andy, both of Greeley; her brothers, Manuel (Sylvia) Cruz and Albert Cruz, also of Greeley; her sisters, Isabelle Cruz and Simona Rodriguez, both of Greeley, and Carol Martinez of Eaton, Colorado; as well as three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and Carmen Cruz, and her siblings, Victor, Joe, Ray, Nelly, Mary, and Maryann.

Mary Helen will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
