Melissa Nicole Jones was born on August 22, 1989, in Riverside, California, to Katherine Jones and William Jones Jr. She later made her home in Colorado, where she built a life filled with love, connection, and meaningful memories. Waco, Texas also became a second home to Melissa and played a significant role in her life and accomplishments. Throughout her journey, she formed many lasting relationships and was deeply loved by all who knew her.
Melissa is lovingly remembered by her grandmothers, Martha Kimball and Carolyn Jones; her mother, Katherine Jones; and her brothers: Matthew Jones and his wife Cassandra, along with their children Mackenzie, Maddelynn, Huston, and Dallas; Mark Jones; and Michael Jones and his wife Lindsey, along with their children Mia, Ayla, Junior, and Bennett.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Wally Kimball and William Jones Sr., and her father, William Jones Jr.
Melissa lived a life full of accomplishments-too many to list—but clearly reflected in the countless lives she touched. She excelled in sports and academics, and most importantly, in her role as a cherished and devoted member of her family.
Known for her warmth and radiant spirit, Melissa was a bright light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She left a lasting impression through her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
Melissa's life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
"She may no longer walk beside us, but the mark she left on this world will forever remain in the lives she touched."
