Nancy Lampe Obituary

Nancy L. Lampe, aged 82, of Loveland, CO, passed away on June 26, 2025, surrounded by her family at Pathways Hospice in Loveland. Born on October 11, 1942, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Robert and Helen Miller, Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
She dedicated many years of her career to Hewlett-Packard in Loveland. On May 22, 1981, she married Del D. Lampe in Loveland, and together they shared a life full of adventure, traveling across the United States in their RV and enjoying square dancing.
After retiring in 1991, Nancy embraced a healthy and active lifestyle, enjoying walking, hiking, and practicing Tai Chi. A proud vegetarian, she loved exploring new vegetarian recipes. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Nancy is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Bob Erwin; her son, Rob Grove, and his wife, Jenny; her stepson, Derek Lampe, and his wife, Priscilla; along with five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Del Lampe, her parents, Robert and Helen Miller, and her son, Randy Grove.
In her final weeks, Nancy found solace in the poem "Death is Nothing At All" by Henry Scott-Holland, reflecting her wish for her loved ones to remember her with joy and laughter.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I am Nancy´s little sister. Growing up I was a real thorn in her side. Always causing trouble.
Then when she married and moved to Colorado we finally learned to except each others differences. We learned to be close even though we were miles apart.
We enjoyed emailing each other every day. A few miles could never take away what a wonderful sister she was!

Nancy and I had a wonderful long-term professional relationship when she was a Human Resources representative at Hewlett-Packard. I taught financial planning classes to HP employees, and Nancy regularly attended, overseeing the presentations. Nancy and Del became clients upon their retirement. It was fascinating for me to observe clients´ transition into retirement and their pursuit of happiness. Nancy and Del´s retirement was exemplary, as they sold their home to travel, visit family, and square dance for many years. Nancy was frugal and managed their money carefully. On more than one occasion, they came to a meeting needing to make a larger purchase, and Nancy would ask, "Dad, can we have more money?" Of course, they could have more money because they planned carefully and lived a dream retirement. In honor of Nancy and Del, I will contribute to Pathways, which holds a special place in my heart.

My deepest sympathy and love to Nancy's family. She and I were 1st cousins and only 3 weeks apart in age. The photo I sent is most of Grandma Miller's 11 grandchildren. We had lots of fun times when we were together!
