Nancy Sigg Obituary

Nancy Ann Sigg, 69, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on April 14, 2026. She was born on February 6, 1957, in Greeley, Colorado, to Donald Worth Flaugher and Rose Mary Flaugher (Stout). She graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1975. After high school, she married Andy Sigg. They later divorced. Nancy was living with her companion James Shuman at the time of her passing. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed.

Nancy loved her family. She was a nature lover and a self-professed tree hugger. She loved all animals, especially cats, including Spike and Fiona, her last and dearest. Before her health declined, Nancy was a fine artist, specializing in oil painting. Several of her works grace the homes of family and friends. She opened a t-shirt business and created wearable art of her own design for several years. For a time, Nancy worked at the Weld County Sheriff's Office as a receptionist. She was also a dedicated volunteer for the Sheriff's Posse, contributing countless hours cooking and serving meals for special events like the Greeley Stampede. She also worked at Woody's Newsstand, which was a perfect job for her since she was the ultimate book worm.

Nancy is survived by her devoted companion James Shuman, her brother William Flaugher (Janet) of Greeley, her sister Mary Schwartz (Gary) of Briggsdale, her twin brothers John Flaugher of Bellvue, Colorado, and Jim Flaugher (Judy) of Rushville, Nebraska, and numerous nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
