On January 17, 2026 God called for a beautiful and bubbly young woman. She didn’t flinch nor fight but gladly accepted her Master’s request.
Rakesha was born to loving parents, Bruce and Barbara Groves. In 2017, Rakesha decided to make Colorado her home where she and her little dog, Adam became a part of the community. She met and fell in love with her husband, Gabriel Cudjoe. No children were born to their union.
Rakesha was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Groves and her infant sister Brandy Groves. She leaves to cherish her memories, husband Gabriel, mother Barbara, Eliana (step daughter)and mother-in-law Dorcas Mensah, sister-in-law, Caroline Cudjoe, brother-in-law Bernard Cudjoe of Accra Ghana and Adam who was her faithful and furry companion. Five uncles, three aunts, one great aunt and a host of nieces, cousins, friends, co-workers and acquaintances.
She’s soaring high above the clouds now and wants us to know that she won’t be returning but wishes we could feel the joy she’s experiencing.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
Psalm 34:18
Rakesha was a wonderful and loving wife whose kindness, warmth and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She carried love in her heart and gave it freely, bringing light and comfort to her family and friends and clients. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in knowing she now rests in God’s eternal peace, surrounded by His love. Her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
