Rebecca Pollock Obituary

Rebecca Sue Pollock, 74, of Northglenn, Colorado, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, December 15th. Known as "Becky" to friends and family, she was born in Denver, Colorado on September 13, 1951 to Ed White and Dorothy (White) Iverson. She spent most of her life in her native state of Colorado, in addition to college in South Carolina, French language school in Quebec, Canada, and a few years of family life in Florida. She met her husband Ray in the singles class at Beth Eden Baptist Church in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and they soon were happily married.

Becky was a faithful Christian who loved her local church and served as a greeter and deaconness for many years. Her love for Christ can be seen in her well-worn Bible, which is underlined and marked with notes about her favorite Bible verses. She primarily loved being Ray's wife and raising their four children together. She gave over two decades to teaching her children at home, during which time she helped found the Colorado Advocates for Homeschool Arts, an organization which consisted of both junior and senior choirs and orchestras for homeschoolers. She enjoyed investing her time and resources into her children's academic, athletic, and artistic growth.

Becky was also a fiercely loyal daughter, sister, grandmother, and aunt. She spent many years with her siblings visiting and caring for her elderly mother Dorothy until her passing in 2012. Becky deeply enjoyed this time with her mother, her brothers and sisters, her nephews and nieces, and all of her extended family.

Becky also had a wide variety of interests and occupations. She was active in her local Daughters of the American Revolution chapter and volunteered as a poll worker for elections. She was employed for many years at Denver International Airport as a gate agent with Skywest Airlines, a customer service agent for various online companies, a poll worker, and a mystery shopper.

Though she was only 5' 4", she packed lot of energy into her small frame. Becky is remembered for her spunky creativity. She dreamed big and never thought any idea was too crazy. She always kept herself busy working on projects, rarely sitting down for long even to eat a meal.

Becky loved to meet people and form new relationships, and she never seemed to know a stranger. She loved socializing around anything related to tea, such as tea parties and tea houses, or playing table games like Scrabble and Dutch Blitz. She was also very vocal on her love for chocolate....and always had a secret stash somewhere in the house!

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ray Pollock; her four children Aaron Pollock, Heather Gibson, Byron Pollock, and Cameron Pollock; their four spouses, Sarah Pollock, Nathan Gibson, Lisa Pollock, and Emily Pollock; thirteen grandchildren; and three siblings, Patty Wells, Larry White, and Snow White. She is preceded in death by her siblings Micky White and David White.
