Robert Trujillo Obituary

Robert Kenneth Trujillo, 85, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2026. He was born in Denver, Colorado on May 5, 1940, to Robert Trujillo and Della (Alarid) Trujillo.

Robert was married to Carolyn Trujillo for 57 years. He was a loving husband and a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Robert Trujillo loved exploring new challenges throughout his life. He took pilot lessons, enjoyed snow and water skiing, and embraced activities outdoors. He took particular joy in sharing those experiences with family and friends-teaching his children to water ski at a young age and spending many happy days camping and boating together. Over the years he owned several businesses, including a liquor store, creamery, and a landscaping company, and he completed a 30-year career driving a cement mixer. In retirement, he and his wife Carolyn treasured helping with their grandchildren and making lasting family memories while traveling with their children.

He is survived by his children: Greg Trujillo (Kelly), Ken Trujillo (Michelle), Chris Trujillo (Roni), and Brandy Kohnstamm (Steve); grandchildren: Joshua (Jessica), Chelsey Duncan (Scott), Aubrey, Hunter, Harleigh, Wyatt, Easton, Luke, Matthew, and Mikyla, great-grandchild Camden and sisters: Margie Cooper and Yvonne (Ed) Sena

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Trujillo, and his parents, Robert Trujillo and Della (Alarid) Trujillo.
