Shirley Rae Pippin, 89, of Littleton, CO. Died on June 3rd, 2025
She was born to the late Alva and Ida Hock on October 19, 1935, in Fairbury, NE. Shirley moved to Littleton, CO when she grew up. There she met her husband Lloyd Pippin, at the Woolworth store in Woodlawn shopping center where they both worked. They were married October 2nd, 1957, and moved to Wyoming where she worked at the Safeway in Torrington and eventually as the bookkeeper for her husband's Ben Franklin store in Douglas, Wyoming. She and Lloyd enjoyed 65 years of marriage.Her greatest love and life's work was raising her 2 children, Chad and Becky. Shirley filled her days with running the kids to their various activities, keeping a meticulous home, and reading. She also loved animals, especially her two pet poodles, Sheba and Snickers. Later in life she and LLoyd enjoyed trips to Blackhawk to gamble and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed the many wonderful trips her daughter Rebecca took her and Lloyd on. Shirley also loved playing the lottery and once won a large prize on a Monopoly scratch off ticket.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Pippin and survived by her two children: Rebecca Friedman of Homosassa, FL and Chad Pippin of Broomfield CO: two Grandchildren, Dillon Pippin of Aurora, CO and Sabrina Pippin of Boston, MA, and a large extended family.In Lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations be made to Humane Colorado (formerly Denver Dumb Friends League)
