Elizabeth Ellen (Slaviero) Groh, 66, of Parker, CO passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in Westminster, CO. Born on May 13, 1959 in Cleveland, OH, she was the oldest child of the late Charles and Jean (Wheeler) Goerth. Elizabeth (Lise) spent her childhood with her two siblings in Evanston, IL, and their home on Park Place became a fond memory for her own children years later.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University of Chicago, majoring in Political Science. Being the daughter of a trust and estate lawyer, Lise thought she’d give the legal field a chance but decided that law wasn’t for her and instead tried sales, which led to a successful and decades long career.
In the 1980s, Lise relocated to the Philadelphia suburbs where her three daughters were later born and raised. Her daughters meant everything to her. For a time, Lise was a single parent, and she instilled a relentless work ethic and independence into her children. With her background in political science, Lise was incredibly smart, loved history and current affairs, and frequently had a book in hand or an audiobook playing. Lise will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and coworkers of many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Alexandra (Andrew) Cook of Chester Springs, PA, Olivia Slaviero of Westminster, CO, and Bella Slaviero of West Chester, PA, granddaughters Morgan Cook and Lucy Duckworth, sister Gretchen (James) Baxter, brother Stephen (Kimberly) Goerth, stepsons Ian, Austin, and Jordan Groh, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private.
